A small scratch turned into a surprisingly smooth fix

I ended up needing Bumper Scuff repair after a tight parking mishap, but what followed was a fairly easy fix that left my car looking almost untouched.

It happened near Meadowhall Shopping Centre on a typical day out, where I misjudged a tight corner. The scratch looked more obvious in daylight, and I knew it needed some repair work sooner rather than later.

Later that evening, I started checking a few sites and came across AutoScratch. The process felt simple to follow, so I sent over a few images from my phone and got a helpful response within a short time. Booking was easy to confirm, and I appreciated how flexible the timing was.

On the day, the technician arrived on time and began with a careful wipe down of the area. Then came the light sanding, which made the scratch less visible already. A small amount of filler here was applied where needed before moving to colour matching. Watching the colour match process was interesting since they worked to ensure it looked consistent. The blending stage was handled with precision, and finally everything was buffed out to bring back the shine. The whole process felt properly done, and there was no rush despite it being a driveway repair.

By the end, the area looked very well restored, and unless you knew where to look, it was hard to spot anything had been there. I liked the convenience of not travelling and how quickly it was all completed. That said, I do think this kind of service is ideal for smaller marks rather than anything too deep. Still, for what I needed, it felt like a practical solution, and I drove away feeling satisfied.
